Studio 5 is an entertainment & lifestyle television magazine that finds the connection between popular culture and faith. The weekly show delivers good news, and an inside look at movies, music, sports and television through in-depth interviews with artists at the forefront of the entertainment industry. And while the show was born inside the walls of a studio, its goal is always to take its viewers to places they have yet to see.
HOST EFREM GRAHAM
Efrem Graham is an award-winning journalist, who serves as the host of Studio 5. In those role, he’s sat down with Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Denzel Washington and countless others in the world of entertainment.
Efrem is a proud Jersey boy. He was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. And he began his media career just across the Hudson River in New York City. He walked the halls of “30 Rock” as an NBC Page and worked behind-the-scenes at WNBC, NBC News, and many NBC Entertainment programs.
His work earned him the NBC Broadcast Fellowship and the DuPont Research Fellowship, which allowed him to study and eanr his master's degree from the Columbia University Journalism School. He also holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
Efrem began his on-camera career in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he juggled two demanding positions. By day, he taught journalism at Chattanooga State Technical Community College. And by night, he anchored and reported the news at the NBC affiliate, WRCB-TV. While there, he earned honors from the Tennessee Associated Press and the German Marshall Fellowship Program.
Efrem also spent time working as a journalism instructor at Bowling Green State University. He is a proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
